The Peanuts



They were Japanese, but well known in America to those who saw MOTHRA and two Godzilla and Ghidorah films they made afterward. They also turned up several times on THE DANNY KAYE SHOW and made an appearance on THE ED SULLIVAN SHOW. They also made appearances worldwide, and their recordings were in many countries.

"The Peanuts" were Emi and Yumi Ito, twin sisters born in Nagoya, Japan in 1941. They sang as soloists and together, even appearing in the famous Nichigeki Music Hall, and acted in Japanese films.
